Corporate + Creative + Personal
Winter gives us a chance to relax somewhat - when not working on projects for our corporate clients - and this is what we get up to in our spare time!
We shot this video clip for Red Ink (you may of heard them on NovaFM) and their new song 'Catching a Killer'
This shoot was a logistical nightmare. Working with a limited budget, Jared and Jacob set about planning an epic shoot to be completed in one night, two hours out of Melbourne.
The location was a private property (basically a paddock - we had to herd a bunch of cows into another paddock to get access!) and this introduced some problems. Power was one of them. Determined not to film in the dark, the boys organised an industrial generator to power a truck's worth of lighting, rigging and film toys.
Site access was difficult, and we had to rely on 4WD's to cart gear back and forth as well as tow the 2-tonne generator.
After about three hours of setup, we were ready to start filming. We'd bolted together metres of tri-truss, layed over 250m of electrical cabling and hung a bunch of lights all over our 'set'. With the weather looking grim, we'd managed to create an indoor studio in the middle of a farm paddock.
Having the CFA on site certainly eased Jared's concerns, but he still preferred to keep a good distance from the fire - offering to cover the wide shots.
There was only one rain scare which involved us standing with plastic garbage bags over light fixtures, but luckily mother nature held off and allowed us to finish shooting.
It was a very long day, and an amazing result considering the time frame and budget, but all in all, we're very happy, and more importantly the band love it!

Two weddings over the weekend, one we can show you, the other we can't. Saturdays wedding was with the beautiful Suzie Wilks, you might know her from a variety shows over the years including Postcards and Changing Rooms, just to name a few. She married the dashing Nick in an incredible marquee at the botanical gardens. Marissa and her mighty team, from A Lavish Affair coordinated the whole event from the ground up. One word to describe this wedding, ‘Spectacular’
Fortunately, we can show you Sunday's wedding - and you are about to see one of the most beautiful brides that we have ever had the pleasure to film. A Hindu wedding all located at the Brighton International. It was full of colour and fanfare.
Mauro, from Design by Mauro was at the helm, creating wonderful and creative compositions. He then took the couple after the wedding to an antique shop, which worked in brilliantly with our brides dress. All I can say about our groom Radhaa, well he couldn’t take the smile from his face.

Back by popular demand (I’ve always wanted to say that!). Andrew and Pippa’s Highlight version received amazing reviews from family friends around the globe, and all were waiting to see the full 20-minute edited version.
Here at C2, we ensure all our couples have a hand in the editing process and, thanks to the power of the Internet, being in different countries doesn’t matter. Pippa - our bride - has an amazing artistic flair and what you are about to witness is her vision, we merely provided the tools to create it.
Jacob, the videographer for the day did an incredible job capturing the day on his trusty EX1R, but alas it has now been replaced with the Canon 5D (need we say more)
A reminder that C2 is available both internationally and interstate and our couples frequently have us jet-setting off to some remarkable parts of the world to capture their special day. Cambridge, Devon, the Cook Islands and Venice have been highlights.
If this tickles your fancy – or any of our other great work – please don’t hesitate in contacting the studio.
Where have we been you ask? My goodness it's been a crazy couple of months.
We're currently in the process of working on a new project for Swisse Vitamins, and recently completed 3 days in the studio with them. They were long tough days, for both cast and crew, but we all pulled through - particularly the Swisse team who had to get their tongue around some challenging words!
We'll have some more info on the project later, but for now, you can check out some photos!
Paul Ryan from Swisse took the snaps, and we also found out he is a closet photographer! Check out his awesome HDR stuff here.
