Corporate + Creative + Personal
Chris and Lauren decided to escape to Daylesford for a vintage country affair. And with ‘A Lavish Affair’ at their disposal, this wedding was going to be anything but ordinary. The team at A Lavish Affair focus not only on creating a wonderful experience for the couple but for each and every guest as well. This is a feeling which lingers in the mind, long after the event has ended.
A nervous groom and a beautiful bride, combined with a landscape that can take your breath away - Chris and Lauren had all the ingredients to make the perfect wedding.
Blumenthal Photography helped create stunning compositions; the final result is sure to be flawless. It's always such a treat working with Dan and Casey.
It's mid January, the height of summer, and the weather wasn’t ideal. It wasn't the rain that was my concern, but the outdoor ceremony that was to take place in the courtyard of Isabella’s home.
However, as they say, if you don't like the weather in Melbourne, just wait five minutes and it will change. Sure enough, the sun came bursting through the clouds for what ended up being a beautiful Muslim ceremony.
With my old friend Yervant - whom I consider to be the pioneer of digital wedding photography is this country - we headed out to the streets of Melbourne. He was like a child in a lolly store, completely excited every time he saw a new texture or space to shoot this gorgeous couple. It was truly refreshing to see after all these years that he is still passionate about his craft. It's no wonder why his photography is so incredible.
Carousel was the next stop, which feels like a second home for C2 - Russell, the function manager, thinks I’m stalking him!
Some Arabic drums and bass launched us into the night and a sparkly send off concluded what was an amazing day with the sweetest couple you could ever hope to meet.
Sam proposed to Hope by hiding the engagement ring inside a Kinder Surprise, so it was only logical that when they reached that important moment during the ceremony, their wedding rings would also be placed within that same sweet confectionery.
No detail was overlooked when it came to their wedding day. Including the amazing flowers designed by the very creative Vasettes, a brilliant bridal waltz and topping the night off by serving wedding cake themselves to the guests at Syracuse.
It was our first time working with Stewart Leishman, and one word to describe this photographer is impressive. From shooting with film, that’s right film, to his tilt shift lens, he was creating the most beautiful compositions. If you get a moment, check out his website, it’s well worth a look.
Sam and Hope were made for each other, and it was a joy for me to capture their togetherness.
A Lavish Affair continue to create amazing events, and Matt + Hayley’s wedding was no exception.
Their day entailed a beautiful outdoor ceremony set against the stunning Weribee Mansion and a celebration that followed at The Pavilion. Leah and her talented staff executed the perfect wedding for Matt + Hayley
I hadn’t meet our couple prior to the wedding, which can be a little awkward, but I assure you it was anything but. Matt relaxed and causal, and Hayley looking gorgeous with a bubbly personality to match.
Tim Marcus on stills worked the Mansion with his magic.
